Sunday Night Baptism and Overflow at Falls Lake
Join us for this unique night of Overflow at Falls Lake as we continue our sermon series Small Groups: Living the Gospel Community!
About Baptism:
- Baptism is an outward symbol that a person has entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ. It symbolizes what has taken place inwardly at the time of our salvation. We immerse at Richland Creek because we believe scripture shows that Jesus modeled that for us as the mode for profession of faith in Him. However, the method of water is not the focus, rather the state of the heart at the time of baptism.
- We are baptized to follow the example set by Jesus (Mark 1:9).
- We are baptized because Christ demands (Matthew 28:19-20).
- We are baptized because it demonstrates that we are believers (Acts 18:8).
- It pictures Christ’s death, burial and resurrection (I Cor. 1:3-4 & Col. 2:12).
- Baptism does not make you a believer; it shows you already believe.
- Baptism does not save you; only your faith in Christ does that.
- Baptism is like a wedding ring; it’s the outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart.

Small Group Grillin’ Competition: Tailgating Style
Sunday May 30th, 5-8 pm on the RCCC Field
- Each small group must bring on guest (Not from RCCC)
- Each small group must bring everything needed to cook on the field.
- Your small group may cook anything you desire (grillin’ at the field)
- Each small group must cook enough to fee everyone in your group.
- Each small group’s food will be taste tested and judged by our rising 6th graders.
- Each small group will also be judged on best tailgating scene.
Schedule
- 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm – Tailgating
- 6:30 pm – 6:45 pm – Judging
- 6:45 pm – 8:00 pm Small Groups Competition and Games

Girl Talk Conference

April 30, 6:30-9:30 pm
Moms and teen daughters (rising 6th -12th grade) join with us for this annual young women’s session!
Girls will be challenged to be the girl God wants them to be through an inspiring speaker and small groups discussions.
Moms will have the opportunity to focus on the particular concerns only moms of teenage girls deal with, in a special session designed for them.
Moms and daughters bring a white cotton T-shirt for a tie dye activity and a desert to share.
We will have free pizza for everyone to enjoy.
This event serves to kick off the mother/daughter summer book studies to follow. Our hope is that mothers and daughters will grow in godliness together.

Deadline: April 4 CAMP OAK HILL Oxford, NC “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, Theme: Finding Your Life (Matthew 16:24-25) All around us we see men attempting to find purpose, fulfillment, and hope in their careers, their possessions, their power, etc. As followers of Christ, we find true purpose through our relationship with Him. It is a relationship that calls us to deny self, embrace His purposes, and lead others in this journey. This men’s retreat is all about “Finding Your Life” in Christ. You will not be disappointed, but you will be challenged and changed through this experience! |
